Eugene R. Mallette
Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the Board of Directors

Mr. Mallette joined  Alpine Air in 1979 as Sales Manager. After successfully guiding the company to profitability as its General Manager, Mr Mallette subsequently acquired all of the outstanding shares of the company in 1986. As its Senior Executive, Mr. Mallette continues to have hands-on operational control and is actively engaged in day to day operations of each of the Companies divisions. His duties include coordinating flight, maintenance and ground operations and directing aircraft acquisition, business development and long range planning. Mr. Mallette oversees operations of the Company from its base in Provo, Utah with frequent visits to all out-stations. 

With a background in finance and accounting, Mr. Mallette is uniquely prepared to lead the Company's continued growth. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Carroll College in 1971, Mr. Mallette practiced accounting and worked as a staff auditor for the state of Montana. Armed with skills acquired in the practice of accounting, Mr. Mallette connected his intuitive business acumen and sound understanding of aviation and built a company that today remains safe, efficient, debt free, and continues stable growth and profitability.

In addition to providing direction to the Company as its Chief Executive and Chairman, Mr. Mallette is an accomplished aviator. He enjoys sport flying and has the distinction of owning and being certified to pilot the North American P-51 Mustang, a vintage World War II fighter aircraft. Mr. Mallette's P-51 is appropriately named "Sweet Mary Lou" for his wife of more than 20 years.

Mr. Mallette is active in numerous civic, municipal and religious causes including, a term as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Better Business Bureau of Utah County and past services to Provo City Chamber of Commerce as its Vice President. Mr. Mallette is philanthropic to a number of local and national charities including the Provo, Utah Boys and Girls Club. He has attained a fourth degree in the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Mallette is married, has three daughters.


Bill Distefano
President and Director of Alpine Air Chile S.A.
General Manager of Alpine Aviation Inc.

With more than 30 years of service to the Company, Mr. Distefano has intimate knowledge of all facets of Company's operations. Acting in the capacity of Director of Maintenance, Mr. Distefano was responsible for the maintenance and management of the Company's aircraft. Under his direction the Company has increased aircraft utilization and limited extensive maintenance down time as a direct result of a Pratt & Whitney PT-6 turbine engine service time extension's, granted to the Company by the FAA.

Mr. Distefano holds an Aircraft and Engine Repair certificate and is an Airframe Inspector. Mr. Distefano is active in all day to day management decisions, as well as, deployment and maintenance operations for the Companies 23 leased aircraft. As a result of Mr. Distefano's able management, the Company enjoys an industry leading on-time performance record with the United States Postal Service. Mr. Distefano is married, has five children, and resides in Provo, Utah.


Max Hansen
General Council, Secretary and Treasurer
Director

Since 1986 Mr. Hansen had been a trusted counselor and Member of the Board of Directors of the Company. As an active practicing Attorney at Law, Mr. Hansen is Alpine's General Counsel and acts as an advisor to Mr. Mallette. Mr. Hansen is an accomplished Attorney and is a past President of the Montana Bar Association and is currently a member of the American Bar Association House of Delegates. Admitted to the bar in the states of Utah, Montana and California Mr. Hansen is a valued member of the Company's executive advisory management team.

Mr. Hansen earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of San Diego, School of Law in 1976 where he was included in his class Law Review. He has maintained an active law practice for more than 23 years and has earned various honors and awards including Distinguished Service Awards from the Montana State Bar Association and Montana State Supreme Court. Mr. Hansen also earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Carroll College in Helena, Montana where he received a four year Honor Scholarship.

Mr. Hansen has fulfilled civic posts including a five year term as the Chairperson of the Police Commission of the City of Dillion, Montana. From 1980-1987 he also served as a part time instructor at Western Montana College were he taught courses in Probate and Estate Planning, Business Law and Human Resource Management. Mr. Hansen is married and resides on his ranch near Dillion, Montana.


Linda Anderson
Director of Operations

Linda has served Alpine Air for more than 15 years in numerous capacities. She was a Chief Pilot for four years and has been recently promoted to Director of Operations in 2002. Her day to day responsibilities include management and logistical deployment of the company's aircraft, flight schedules and ground crew.

Linda is a qualified Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) with ground and Commercial Instrument Instructoran Multiengine ratings. She was recognized as "1985 Woman Pilot of the Year" from the International Organization of Women Pilots. Ms. Anderson holds a bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, University of Utah, where she graduated as a Magna Cum Laude honors recipient.


Joe Etchart
Director

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Carroll College in 1970 Mr. Etchart worked in the Insurance industry in Seattle, Washington and San Francisco, California. He returned to his family ranching enterprise where he continues to serve as President of the Hinsdale Livestock Company near Glasgow, Montana. Mr. Etchart's distinguished career as a Montana cattleman has earned the trust of his fellow cattlemen where he has served as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Montana Livestock Ag Credit, Inc. since 1984, and twice served as it's Chairman. Mr. Etchart also served a term as the president of the National Public Lands Council and successfully completed a term as the Chairman of the Western Livestock Producers Alliance.

Mr. Etchart has served in numerous civic, political and appointed posts in the state of Montana where he has earned the respect of his professional colleagues and elected officials. Mr. Etchart had the distinction of serving as the Campaign Finance Chairman during the first successful election of Montana Governor Marc Racicot. Mr. Etchart is married, has four children and resides in Glasgow, Montana.
