The First Officer Training Program at Alpine Air is designed to provide you with the multiengine, turboprop experience that Air Carriers and aviation employers require. We provide this experience in actual airline operations. You are provided with the required training to become a qualified FAR Part 135 crew member. This gives you the opportunity, once you have become qualified, to gain experience while acting as a flight crew member. You are guaranteed to receive the contracted flight time during your temporary assignment (125 -1000 hours). See rate list for training options. Pilots who have graduated from our course have secured jobs as SIC and PIC with our company as well as SkyWest, American Eagle, Horizon, Great Lakes, Frontier, Mesa, Continental Express, Delta, United, Southwest and many more.

Training
Alpine Air has been an air carrier since 1975. All of the training is conducted by Alpine Air FAR Part 135 FAA approved training program and instructors. You will receive the same training that new hire captains receive. We provide additional training, such as Crew Resource Management, Aeronautical Decision Making, and Weather Radar Utilization.. Your training is divided into three parts:

(1) Basic Indoctrination Training, (2) Aircraft Systems Training, (3) Flight Training in the aircraft.

Your Basic Indoctrination Training will be conducted at Alpine Air company headquarters in Provo,Utah or other designated locations, and will last approximately ten (10) days. The training will include:

Included in the Basic Introduction Training, is three days of company orientation and aircraft systems. The flight training and Second-in-Command check ride will be conducted in Montana or Utah and normally takes five days.
